The work of our group made possible $800,000 in funds dedicated to the research, education and development of the Maine lobster industry through the creation of the lobster license plate. Many of our members serve on various boards associated with commercial lobster fishing in Maine, including the Maine Lobster Promotion Council and the Maine Lobster Research, Education and Development Board. The MIELDA is committed to keeping Maine lobster sustainable and Maine's working waterfront thriving.
